ever since the "CPU Exceeded" thing was fixed
i never see gates being released?
when are they being released? i mean
time of day?
this is frustrating watching competition appear in
airports that have had no available slots in quite awhile.

That's probably because most people use all the gates they have rented, so there's nothing to release.

Likely the abnormal release of gates is tied to Dktc helping us get a bit of a crackdown going on gate-hogging routes. Typically around the 1st of the month is when auto-returned gates should appear.

The abnormal cases also include Stephen testing out the bankrupcy function.

i think you have me confused with someone else, i only own one BOG gate...

obviously thats not the case as new people are getting into these airports somehow.
i understand dktc is releasing gates, perhaps he is releasing quite a few...

I release more by trying out StephenM's new bankrupt airline function :P
I blame Stephen for not finishing the check-box route-closing yet so I am behind schedule on the route closing :wink:

i have aquired numerous gates in singapore, hongkong, jfk, madrid, heathrow and some other high profile destinations today. whilst there were only single digits on the market, there seems to be some gate release going on.

I too have noticed many gates being vacant now. Maybe this is due to there only being 3 weeks left for this game round.
I can only speak for myself, but I've definately hit boredom already. I've just been spending my cash on aircraft and selling them and only editing my routes once every few days.
There's certainly alot of new kids on the block.

I have bankrupted 50+ inactive airlines in the past 12 hours, as well as force closed routes from a dozen accounts :wink: (yea... i even keep track of that :roll: )

I found that some gates tend to show up in the early evening, 7-9pm EDT.
I finally found one at my first base, but didn't get it fast enough, someone else had snatched it, but I've been able to pick up a gate here and there at the more populated airports in the US by checking at night.

Gates come and go so quickly.
You have to stay at computer 24/7 or bribe dktc to know the exact release time :lol:
