I see BaE 146-300 coming, how about -200 which was earlier than 300?

The price of aircraft was heavily dependant on speed. Basically it goes along the lines of:

Slow = prop = cheap
Fast = jet = dear.

Thats about it!

I didn't have the BAe146-200/100 in data that was given to me, will do it myself after these bloody exams. :(

Both Fokker 50 and ATR-42 are turboprops and are of the similar size.

Speeds:
ATR-42-320 - Same as ATR-42-300 except max cruising speed 498km/h (269kt).
F-50 Typical cruising speed 526km/h (284kt).

Range:
ATR-42 - Range with max fuel and reserves at max cruising speed 4480km (2420nm), or 5040km (2720nm) at economical cruising speed.
F-50 Range with 50 passengers and reserves at high speed cruise 2033km (1097nm), or 3017km (1628nm) for high gross weight option at long range cruise.

Capacity:
ATR-42 Maximum passenger accommodation for 50, 48 or 46 at 76cm (30in) pitch and four abreast.
F-50  Standard seating for 50 at four abreast and 81cm (32in) pitch. Max high density seating for 58.

Being bigger airplane by 8 seats F-50 should be more expensive.

As for Bae/RJ:

The ATR can fly further, and that should count as well.

What's strange, is that a B752 with PW engines costs 15m less, but still can fly 200nm longer than with RR engines. Is this a brand issue?:)

Right, I'm finished my next exam until Friday, I'll get cracking tonight on the costs. Expect low cost aircraft to go UP.

Thats why every time I refresh the forum index there are more new posts! My ISP hasn't fixed the databases yet... Very strange, they are usually faster than this.

Is that why there were no MD80 aircraft, provided that they started flying circa 1980/1981?

Title: Aircraft developments - 1987
Post by: d1-3508 on January 17, 2007, 03:45:08 am
As far as I can see, coming will be:
A320-100
B737-400
B767-300ER
Dash-8-100/200 (Should be in the game)
Saab 340/340A (ditto)
Metro III/23 (ditto)
B1900c (ditto)
Shorts 330/360 (ditto)
Dornier 228 (ditto)
EMB110 (ditto)
EMB120 (ditto)

The ditto's are only from the wiki, but still, if those aircraft (BN-2A/BN-2B-20) can be in the game, then so can the above.

The cost per hour:

1. It is very bad idea to make it dependent on pax.
2. It should be given data not a calculation.
3. There is data avaliable on the web  how much block hour of each aircraft costs - why not type it in?
Title: Aircraft developments - 1987
Post by: StephenM on January 30, 2007, 05:42:10 pm
Danny if you can forward me exact figures for all aircraft I will manually edit them and add it in.

Please remember we have fuel flow calculated per route (cost there of) and its dynamic based on the price of oil in each year.

The reason why there are so many manufacturers is to reflect that timeframes manufacturers, you wont see the MD-11 under Boeing in AM ;) (I hope!) Thankfully you have spotted that! :)
