Title: Planes not even delivered to me yetcanbeusedonroutes
Post by: Powercube on August 24, 2007, 05:44:00 am
As much as I love this fact, I should not have all my planes with 24 hours, including some shiny new 77Ws. For once, a bug I like, but a bug none the less. Thanks for your help
Bernie@Blue Planet I.D 1323
Edit: more information about the bug in the "View&Buy" menu, all the planes are still listed as earning their daily profit. They also display as having 24 hours there.

I have the same problem here too, but those leased out planes can show correct data regarding the hours left and daily profits...
and all things at the aircraft market are gone, except for the open broker requests

Also, the planes I had on order are now listed as "in service".

Me too. I think we have to stop creating routes now until it is fixed.

This has only happened to about 3/5s of my airframes, the premature aging thing. The good news, for the moment I operate a 21 hour flight, YUL-KUL

I am having the same problem as well, all the planes that I owned have 24 hours left on them and the leased-in fleet is fine.
Interesting, my planes have not premautrely aged yet.

Reporting the exact same thing, though somehow- the early delivery doesn't bother me too too much

Now we have planes that have negative hours....

You have planes with negative hours because you've managed to (because of some bug i don't yet know, specifically), create routes past 24 hours.
At present, the aircraft used the most is at 47.68 hours.
I'd encourage all of you with negative houred aircraft to close some routes (but i won't force it, because you will not be able to edit any route for those aircraft until the balance is restored).
I want as much information as possible as to how this happened. and i want it before it happened (as cliche as that is).

Well, when I first noticed this little hiccup was I was trying to open a route from EWR-Omaha Nebraska and I noticed that I could use a 77W on it. I then noticed that, indeed, I could use ALL my planes on it, save for the ones leased out.

It's happened to me as well, so it's widespread.

When I was going to sell planes, I went to View & Buy. Then I found that all planes, except those on lease (both in and out), restored to 24 hours. Half an hour ago?

I also noticed this hiccup when I try to open a new route as well. But, unlike Powercube, I cannot use all my aircraft to operate itbut only those which are 'based' there (if you know what I mean).
Also, I noticed all the aircraft that were listed on the 'Aircraft Market' has disappeared and only newly listed offers remain.
Edited to add: I became aware of this problem soon after the changeover (about 40 minutes ago).
Hope this helps!

Aaaaaaalrighty.
So i've got a great idea of what happened... and i'm terribly sorry for it.
I'm not positive if it's my fault directly, or if it's someone elses, but the offending page is deleted pending a strong revamp.
sorry again, it's a coding shortsight. and it's just about impossible to properly correct it all.
-_-. Unfortunately there's no reasonable way to rollback...
So. make do with early delivery, sorry again for the horrible mess its caused.

Alright. i've patched the brkr'd aircraft. They should be relisted to everyone at the appropriate rates.
That is likely the last alteration i need to make. Brokers, sorry PFL stuff is not fixed, but the aircraft are delivered now so (sorry about all the extra work required) you can list them to the desired players as you see fit and can remember.

That was what I was going to suggest. We need to be able to see where the plane would be going when they are on order. And I would prefer to be able to rename them just like the other planes on order to reserve the planes for the players in case of incidents like these happens.

I don't know if it has something to do with this thread, but I hope so...
I just leased 5 B733ER from Hampo and they all show 0 hours, so I can't place them on any route. IDs are 87589 87590 87591 87592 87593
Is it a bug or haven't they been delivered yet? Nothing about that in the Wiki.
Airline is Italian Star International Airlines, ID 1917.
Thanks!
Dan

And one more aircraft that has been put onto the lease market, but that can't be operated:
86040 A310-300HGW.

Da*n... that is mine!
Sorry about that, but it has to be a bug with the PFL system.
It seems that whenever the planes got auto-listed, then leased by someone, they get returned back to the broker automatically. I will get your planes to you. And I think you actually got 86041 too, correct?

I copy pasted the ID so I guess it really was 86040. But I returned all the Airbus and the Boeings that had this problem some minutes ago because I didn't want to pay every month for planes I can't use. So ...41 might be correct.
I'd have rather kept them in my account?! :? If you could get them to me, that would be great. :D Thanks!
BTW, No. 89148 doesn't work as well. It's listed in my account now.
