Hi there

I have an airline which looks like it will go inactive and i need them to return some leased planes but obviously they can't

could I have some help or suggestions

First, this is not a bug.
Second, you will continue to get paid the lease rate, even if they go inactive (and/or negative in cash), until the lease duration is up.

That said, why do you "need" them to return the leased planes?

Hi,

because when I set up the lease i set it up for a long time with the agreement from them that it would be returned hen they were no longer using it, the problem is that the lease rate wont cover the maintenance cost for much longer and so I need it returned so that I can scrap the aircraft.
