Title: A couple of Middle East issues
Post by: TheKevinShow on March 07, 2012, 01:47:00 am
I'm looking over my chart of the Middle East gates I own in #2208, and there seems to be a couple of inconsistencies.
First of all, gates in Abu Dhabi cost 100,000. However, it has more passengers than Kuwait (along with quite a few others) yet Kuwait (along with quite a few others) costs more (150,000) than Abu Dhabi.
Airport IATA Airport Name Gates Cost AUH Abu Dhabi International 72 €100,000 ICAO Passengers Cargo Country OMAA 9,020,000 862,172 United Arab Emirates
Airport IATA Airport Name Gates Cost KWI Kuwait International Airport 128 €150,000 ICAO Passengers Cargo Country OKBK 8,125,617 197,214 Kuwait
The same issue arises with Tblisi, except the other way around. It has fewer passengers than Bandar Abbas and other 50,000 airports, yet gates at Tblisi cost 100,000.
Airport IATA Airport Name Gates Cost BND Bandar Abbas 39 €50,000 ICAO Passengers Cargo Country OIKB 772,775 4,067 Iran, Islamic Republic of
Airport IATA Airport Name Gates Cost TBS Tbilisi International 94 €100,000 ICAO Passengers Cargo Country UGTB 615,230 1 Georgia

Good find!
Are the passenger numbers for these airport up to date? I'm thinking that especially Abu Dhabi might be a bit higher than 9 mio. Same for Dubai and Doha.

Sorry for the bump, but I've noticed this error in Asia as well.
IATA Airport Name Gates Cost LGK Langkawi International 25 €50,000 ICAO Passengers Cargo Country WMKL 1,122,911 524 Malaysia
IATA Airport Name Gates Cost MMY Miyako 82 €100,000 ICAO Passengers Cargo Country ROMY 1,082,428 10,262 Japan
Langkawi International's gates should cost 100,000 each.

Simple explanation: gate rental was not recalculated after updating the pax number. Some have seen declines in pax, while others have seen increases.
