Title: Steam offers
Post by: 1993matias on December 27, 2011, 12:30:48 am
Hi!

I just want to hear if anyone out there has good experiences with some of the games in this pack. It seems like a good offer, but I just want to hear your opinion before buying.

Thanks for your help! :D

Can't recommend 90% of those games.

Try getting company of heroes instead ;)

Since I like grand strategy pretty much, I got my hands on Europa 3. Buy it or not? Depends on your tastes. Most of these games are of the type 'Wheter you fall in love with them, or hate them for the rest of the life'
P.S. But I can totally agree with some of the comments - 'Nice strategy game, but with the ugliest graphics ever!'

I don't think I will use money on it then. I am most attracted by Cities in Motion, but I bought that game a while ago.

Thanks for the advice!

I wont admit how long it took me to make money in the first scenario in cities in motion but it was a lot of hard work. :P Interesting game though. I always loved transport games.

It is quite fun, but Traffic Giant was better in terms of framerate, congestion and routing. Although the patches has made CiM much better now.

The frame rate is horrific on my laptop but I only got it for college/AM work at the time so I don't mind too much. I got it through Steam so I assume its got the latest patches.

The thing these two games lack is schedules. Without this it makes it very difficult to control high frequency routes leading to bottle necking at busy stations

Something a little random here to toss in but maybe buy skyrim if your computer is good enough. Its not really a game like am or the ones you were looking at but pry the best series of games i have ever played.

Or if you can find a copy of the original airport tycoon thats bomb  and can play on any computer due to the fact it was made for like windows 95 :P.

I don't really play RPG's, but otherwise I've heard it's a fantastic game!

If I find a game that old, the world has gone mad... Although I did buy a copy of Sim Farm from 1990 a while ago :P Sadly it is for mac...

Meh, Skyrim is for Koreans.

You should try the Fallout series. Especially the latest installment - Fallout: New Vegas. It's a postapocalyptic-satirical-action-firstpersonshooter-singeplayerRPG set in the Mojave Wasteland. You fight mutants, raiders, romans, frenzied robots and such.

I already beat Fall out, and Skyrim is made by the same people that made Fall out :P.

Skyrim is more in detail of the person, and quest and leveling, where Fall out only focuses on the quest imo.
