Title: New departures and arrivals board
Post by: oddward on June 07, 2011, 10:34:07 pm
This is a different way of displaying the aircraft that arrive and depart an airport, as they are not live boards which reflect the next flight to arrive/depart could they not show the place and then each of the planes that land are on that route and their frequnce if that makes snese?

Well, they could add aircraft, but for live arrivals or departures, it would not work because it will be too confusing since 1 day is a hour in AM, and they have to find a time to fit all flights of, let's say a major airport like YYZ in PW#1727, probably 450 flights in one hour. Everyday airlines are creating routes to that airport and the time just get's tighter.
To display the places could be easy, just label them with the call letters/IATA, on the map. That would work.

That makes me think... Is it possible to update the airport route map when clicking on a route so it only shows that route?
Otherwise, being able to see what aircraft is flying the route would be a great addition!
