did you have a big broker request/series of small ones? downpayments are included in value only until its taken (well. day-change after it's taken). mostly because once taken, that downpayment cannot be refunded.

Whilst the topic's here, I thought I'd add mine.
50915 Asian Star MD-88 In Service €58,031,880 And 50916, Identical virtually.
The value's €58,031,880, yet the price to purchase is €52,801,813.
Odd.

did you buy it through the request system? that one factors in full cost of the ac (downpayment + payment pt 2), so it might just be the markup...

Yep, why?

Because that price (cost + mark-up) is what you pay for the plane. It is how much thte plane costs your airline. So, on your book (accounting) that would be the planes' value and depreciation should be based on that value.

On a similar subject...
I keep losing value when I do something tiny.
Something as simple as altering the price of a route has cost me 500,000,000 in value!

welll.... i'll look into it. editing/new routes often cost market research (once a month, minimum), but that doesn't sound like the level of value you're talking about.
Doing a lot in a short period of time though may have cumulative effects you're not realizing is all i'm trying to say with that.

Weird thing is, its the value that i'm losing out on... not my cash.
its no big deal really, hardly high priority. Just thought I'd point it out.

Fair 'nuff.
I can't look at it immediately, but i can get this post off.
Question: do you have a lot of broker requests? (is that what it's roughly off by?)

I have a fair few requests in progress, which might be something to do with it... and it seems to drop by about 500,000,000, but ammends itself when a new day starts.
Anyone else having this problem?

Yep, me too. Every time I change some minor things my value drops around 500k! I don't know why but after another hour everything is back to normal.
BTW I wouldn't say that I hava a lot of request. Just 3 big ones at this time. ;)
Cheers,

ok. i've identified what is likely the bug.
the number that actually appears to be off is the hrly script value, not the other value.
