Title: A320 out of service date is wrong
Post by: ba4 on May 05, 2011, 08:51:17 pm
I was just looking around at the A320 stats on AM, and it says it is withdrawn is 2008! The A320-200 is still the 2nd most popular airliner, so why?

World: PW1936 AiRevoLegacy
Airline: airStephen

Is it the A320-100 or A320-200? The A320-100 should be out by 2008.

Edit: yes, the A320-100 is out of production in 2008. The A320-200 is in production until 2016. IRL the A320-200 replaced the A320-100 in 1988 after only 21 had been built.

I have no idea what you are referring to. It is what? Wrong page? And an entirely irrelevant screenshot?

Your right, I don't understand now. What should we be looking for in the last screenshot?

Sorry for the double post, but I think I found what he was saying
See parts boxed in red and green

Move scroll bar to the right side to see the box.

There may be an engine variant of the -200 series that's due to be retired in-game by 2008 instead of 2016. Thats why you can have a withdrawn date of 2016 but also some of the same series being withdrawn in 2008.

Some are being withdrawn in 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2016. They vary between engines and performance.

Do the engine variants have different introduction dates too?

Yes, for certain aircraft models.

I will try to order all of the variants and post back the results.

I think the staff have it in the database, so I wouldn't bother ordering them all ;)

Its pointless, we already know what happens to the aircraft.
