Title: Aircraft market
Post by: East West Airlines on April 02, 2011, 07:59:50 am
If something, for example a boing 737-200 Adv. is 5 years old but it is unused is it a smart buy? Not that I need any in my current worlds but for future reference.

No, beacuse mx cost for that old a/c will be high.

Yeah thats what I thought... Its not like I'm in desperate need of any aircraft but I've been wondering that since I've started the game

With 5 years old, do you mean as a 5 year old aircraft type or was the plane manufactured 5 years ago?

I replace all S/H aircraft once they're 5-6 years old to keep my MXF low and maximize my profit. So for me buying that aircraft would be a no go. You should be able to make some profit with it though (if you can make a good deal with the current owner) since 5 years isn't its break even point.
