It's not the beginning/end of the month, but suddenly, my value has dropped from over 1 billion to about 950 million. The only thing I can think of is that the ~50 million in brokerage requests I had were accepted, but I was under the impression that that doesn't deduct from an airline's value.

Your airline value does also consist of the amount of money you have. So if you use 50 million on a broker, you loose 50 million in value.
This is because you don't buy the aircraft immediately, but you ask another one to purchase it, and then sell it to you. During that period of time, you don't own that plane, and therefore not getting it counted into your value.
