Qatar Airways your 5 star Airline has started its operation on its Hub at Doha International Airport.
The Qatar Government has established its own Flag Carrier last October 1995 game date. For the start-up of the aviation industry, the airline acquired its new fleet of 5 McDonnell Douglas MD-90-55 with a Capacity of 187 passengers. The Airline currently serves the following cities from its hub:
The MIDDLE EAST: ABU DHABI BAHRAIN BEIRUT CAIRO DAMASCUS DUBAI ISTANBUL KUWAIT MUSCAT RIYADH TEHRAN
EUROPE: ATHENS FRANKFURT GENEVA ZURICH
SOUTH ASIA: KARACHI MUMBAI
For a total of 17 destination.

Qatar Airways ordered 2 Bombardier CRJ 100-LR December 1995
Barely two months after its first flight, Qatar Airways is robust to expand its routes to ASIA, MIDDLE EAST, AFRICA and EUROPE. The five-star airline places its order of two Bombardier CRJ 100-LR with an Option of 1 to be use for its Regional Operation. eladkram29, the company's CEO said to its interview, "The airline industry here in the middle east is in a fast pace. So we at Qatar Airways we strive for the betterment of its passenger. We place this order which reflects that indeed there is a great demand. Operating to its hub, DOHA, we want to add 7 new Destinations beginning next year. For that we need more aircraft to satisfy our expansion and to compete with other airlines here in the middle east." The CEO doesn't tell if he his talking about its rival Dubai Airways which already has more market share. Deliveries of this aircraft will begin next year.

Qatar Aiways Receives its First Bombardier January 13, 1996
Qatar Airways, the five-star airline, today receives its first Bombardier CRJ-100LR. The company's CEO is delighted on its on-time delivery of the aircraft. In an interview, eladkram29 said "This is another milestone for us as a company. This new aircraft will be deployed in our 4 new destination this year namely; AMMAN, NEW DELHI, LUXOR and JEDDAH. This proves that we are up for the challenge of aviation industry here in middle east."
Qatar airways now flies to 21 Destinations across the MIDDLE EAST, AFRICA, EUROPE and SOUTH ASIA. Here are the following routes:

QATAR AIRWAYS Receives its Second Bombardier Airline exercise its option of another 1 Bombardier February 17, 1996
Doha, Qatar - The Five-star airline in the middle east, Qatar Airways, receives its second Bombardier CRJ-100LR with a grand celebration marking its feat on schedule of deliveries of its aircraft. eladkram29, CEO of Qatar Airways, thanked all its staff and crew of the company for making it happened to achieve its 7th aircraft. Bombardier CRJ-100LR has a capacity of 52 seat and will deploy on it's South Asian Route to be started its operation on March. The company unveils its 3 new Destination to the country of India namely; TRIVANDRUM, AHMEDABAD, and GOA. Bringing a total of 5 destinations in INDIA and 6 for South Asia. Many Indian Expatriates working here in Qatar are delighted with its new Destination. All Flights of Qatar Airways are now Daily Service throughout the year. ATR 42-300 Delivered to QATAR AIRWAYS First TURBO-PROP airplane to be deployed in Germany[/i] May 20, 1996
Doha, Qatar- Its a first! Qatar Airways today receives its brand new ATR 42-320 from Toulouse, France. The aircraft will be deployed to its new European Destination. eladkram29, the company's CEO said in an interview after landing at Doha International Airport, "The company today marks another milestone to its fleet with a groundbreaking operation of a turbo-prop. Its a first for an All-jet aviation company. This aircraft will solely serve our new destination in Germany, which is Munich. Due to the fast growth of the company, we don't hesitate to open new route despite of only 7 months in operation. We seek for a faster delivery time to cope up of the growth in our passenger volume. This is really a remarkable milestone for us. After this delivery we are hoping to have talks with Airbus for more fuel-efficient aircraft to serve more routes. We want to acquire A320s and A319s by the middle of this year. Now, Qatar Airways flies to 25 destinations.
