Airline Report: Ambitious Start-up Airline Emerges in Competitive Market
British Global Airways Base: London Heathrow Airport (LHR, UK)
A brand new airline emerged on the 1st of December game time in a highly competitive market. The low-fares carrier British Global Airways aims on creating a number of hubs throughout the U.K, while hopefully operating a one-type fleet to minimise aircraft expenses. The new carrier takes its business strategy from real world U.K airlines Ryanair and easyJet. It started its new routes with a single aircraft familiar to most on W [1217], the French made Nord 260 Super Broussard: LHR - GLA x2 LHR - BRU x2 LHR - EDI x2
The airline sees its main competition from the airlines: Jay Airways, British Airways and AirSun. Although the original base for the budget carrier was meant to be at Heathrow (LHR) the MD George Andrews is thinking of moving the base to a less competitive market and establish its main base at ‘London’s third airport’ Stansted (STN). At this airport we see lower operating costs and far less competitive routes which British Global Airways will soon be flying. We expect these new routes to be launched within the coming months; it is also worth pointing out that when the airline changes its main base to London Stansted the Heathrow routes will be scrapped. STD – GLA STD – BRU STD – EDI STD – CDG STD – ORY STD – DUS STD – AMS STD – MUC However these new routes will only become possible when new aircraft are acquired; the airline hope to operate a fleet of French built SUD Caravelle III aircraft each with a capacity of eighty passengers.
Thank you – expect more posts soon, MD George Andrews

The airline has now closed its base at London's Heathrow airport (LHR) and is continuing it's operations from its new main base - London Standsted Airport (STN)
The airline has now opened the following routes operating a single aircraft:
STN - AMS STN - BRU STN - EDI STN - GLA
The airline has also undergone some rebranding, the manger felt that the previous name (Brtitish Global Airways) was too long and the airline was renamed 'British World Air'
Expect more posts soon

British World Air is now currenly the second largest passenger airline at London Stansted with 10 flights and 3.38% of seats. On top of this BWA is the only airline to offer a vital Irish link! STN - ORK (Cork, Ire.) from London Stansted - the airline offers this direct link operating its leased DHC 3.
Currently the airline is looking to operate a jet aircraft although currently no suitable avaliable aircraft have been found. Also it is expected that the DHC 3 will not be leased in for too long as it is just establishing routes; we soon want to replace the aircraft with a larger one.
The MD - George Andrews has noted interest in establishing the airlines first focus city: Manchester (MAN, North England) but we may not see this until much later on due to aircraft shortages.
Expect posts soon... BWA
