Title: Do bases (focus cities) cost you upkeep?

Ok, a couple Q's about bases:

1. Do you pay maintence/rent/tax of any kind on them?
2. Do you still pay rent for the 4 gates required  to create a base?
3. To create a terminal I must have a base first correct?
4. Do I own the gates if I create a terminal?

I'm asking if I pay maintence on a base, because right now I have the funds to create the base but do not yet have the aircraft to take advantage of that base.

1. No. Only the gate rent.
2. Yes.
3. Yes.
4. Technically yes, but still need to pay 75% of the gate rent as upkeep every month.

"Due to lack of usage, a total of 3 have been flagged as disused at Cleveland-Hopkins International. This means unless they are used, they will be automatically returned at the beginning of next month"

Does this mean I'll lose my base (because a base required 4 rented gates) if I don't buy enough planes to use all my gates?
