Title: Bussines aviation plane prices
Post by: Evolve Air on October 17, 2009, 07:25:20 am
Seem to be set very low for quite some types, especially larger ones. 777-200 VIP for 56M? I don't think so ... Is this dome intentionally or?

Its what the formula gives back, as the seats are relatively low it gives an equally low price.

EDIT:

Why then:
Airbus A330-200 Prestige   60   464   9,551   2   2   0.33   €133,007,085
Boeing 777-200ER VIP         100   481  11,103   2   2   0.42   €56,501,26

While A330 price seems "real", 777 is way off? SO how comes A330 costs 133M/60 seats/less range than 777 that cost 56M?

I'll plug the values into the formula and see what happens. Just briefly looking at it I cannot immediately explain the issue, it may be 2 results from 2 formulas. (One old, one new)

I think most of the favorable planes in AM have been converted from the old formula to the new one.....

How are pax number for business jets (especially large ones like the 777) found? I thought people could get any configuration they like on a business jet.

Small ones (ie. the ones designed as Business aircrafts) are typically the max seats, as with the commercial aircrafts.

Larger ones (ie. BJ varaints of commercial aircrafts) are typically stats provided by manufacturer as "suggested" or "typical" seats vs. range combinations. A few are based on the JAWA's data, which I found that some are actually based on the manufacturers' press releases and/or marketing brochures.

But yes, essentially, the buyers could customize the interior layouts. However, that is not possible at this stage of the game. There are plans to develop that kind of feature for AM, but that won't happen any time soon.
