Title: Alliance Boards
Post by: fazon on September 21, 2009, 09:47:09 pm
A small board where alliance members could talk without having anyone else see what's going on would be helpful.

That's when a official alliance forum is very helpful.  Then you can decide who can see what, and it makes it more private and you can talk about things you don't want other players or alliances to see.  You can set one up on your own pretty easily.

I don't think each specific would is big/active enough for a separate forum. Oh well.

Another game i'm playing is Batracer.com, a web based racing strategy game, and the game has a smorgasborg of built in boards. It has the clan boards, games board and the team board, which is very useful for sharing settings and strategies within the said team

I think an in-game forum would be used more and easier for newer members to use than an off site board.

Also, I think making a forum for each alliance on each world off site is unreasonable.

Bumping this. It may or may not be possible, I'm not sure yet, but I think it could be possible to create an alliance forum in the world_info page that's made automatically when the alliance is formed, and is only visible to members of that alliance.
