Title: $1 Routes?

Can someone explain to me what all this $1 route fuss is all about? I don't see how $1 routes help so why is it a big deal?

€1 routes are usually used by people who usually are a bigger airline to try to get rid of competition, or in other words try to run off new airlines.  Basically to try to make people mad so they will leave the route.

There aren't that many €1 routes any more, as competition has been decreased by multiworlds, but it was quite a problem before that.

unless more than 1 airline is doing it, you should be able to safely run your flights much much higher with no affect on your load factor.
