Hi guys,
I just opened account and started this amazing game. It is fantastic. Since I started I had some "Gate Rent" issue and now I got the point, BUT...
My question here is is it possible to start route on airport other than given/chosen at the begining?
I'm playin world 850 and still have first plane An38 but all my routes are from LDZA. I would like to fly a-b, b-c, c-a but do not know how.
Also why I do not get my refund when I return the gates (rented by mistake) even if I return it in the same minute?

You may only fly from...
- your base
- your focus cities (aka. hubs)
- bases and hubs of other members of the alliance you are in provided that there are still quota for alliance flight at that airport
That means if you want to start flight from elsewhere, you need to either create a focus city there, or join an alliance with member(s) basing there.
Gate rent is a sunk cost. Once paid, you would not get it back.

but I saw here on this forum under FAQ "Flight frequencies" (http://stephenm.org/smfforum/index.php?topic=9808.0) chapter, something called 0.5 freq. But I can not get it to work. But I believe as you said (and it doesn't say it in that FAQ topic) it can be done only from Base/hubs. Too bad (for me at least :'( )
