Which do you like better and why

If there were "Douglas/MD", I would have chose it. But there isnt, so I choose Airbus.
For some reason, Im anti-Boeing.. :roll:
Juz because A-320 is better than 737?

Airbus because they made in Europe ;) and i think most of them are cheaper then they competitors from Boeing

one where you have a feel for the aircraft as opposed to computers feeling them for you. Traditional way of flying. Yoke instead of joystick.
and that boeing sounds more professional than airbus, which sounds like someone decided to put wings on a bus :p

Boeing use computers to fly planes too, so they don't make traditional aircraft. Your average Cessna 152 or 172 (non Glass cockpit) is what your describing.

i know they use computers, but at least your using a yoke and 'feeling' the aircraft as oppose to just a joystick

That's basically the idea behind an aircraft, it's public transport with wings.

Bus drivers don't have a gear selector = less professional?

Well, tbh, i think the joystick idea was not that great. I mean, try driving your car with a joystick. It'll feel "awkward", right?

No, you get used to it. If you had been driving cars with joysticks all your life, you'd find it awkward having to drive a car with a steering wheel.

On short haul market, I'd suggest Airbus A320. They are:
-faster than 737
-(with certain engine) having a longer range than 737
-more flexible on the configs than 737 (34 combinations VS 8 combinations for the year 2005, perhaps more?)
-generally more fuel-saving than 737
-more competitive on the most important thing: money issue, they are cheaper than 737
The one and only one point that makes me disappointed is: carrying less paxs than 737 (for each competing model pairs).
Why choosing 737 then? :P
But on the long haul market, I love Boeing, especially 777. Boeing does do a decent work for the long haul market.

I'm a big fan of Boeing in real life, but in-game I would prefer the A3XX Family over the 7X7 family (especially A32X/737NG) because of the speed, efficiency, etc... I think it's kind of cheaper too...

Airbus all the waaaay!
Airbus has a lower end model like the A319, available long range too! In my opinion the best continental plane, good pax at 145 and good speed and range!
the A320 series is awesome for a higher end continental shuttle.

Well at least I'm talking with reference to the in-game data. :P
I was stunned by the large variety of engine choices, speed, range...and also price (!) when I'm dumping out the data from the in-game database to a formatted list for aircraft selection process in the forthcoming private world. Good job Airbus!

For pilots, definatly Airbus. For a passenger...um...maybe airbus too, hard choice.

Just to add, passenger-wise, I personally prefer Airbus as well.

Personally, I love the Boeing 717... the 2x3 configuration is quite nice. Of course, the Boeing 737NG is great for comfort, although the cabin is narrower. My favorite aircraft of all time, of course, is the Boeing 747... the dome up in the front is just so much nicer than the competing Airbus A380... and the seating on a 747 is quite nice, roomy, and comfortable. I've never been on a 777 but that's something I must try.
This is what I know...

- Boeing 737 aircraft are lower to the ground, thus making them cheaper to maintain, with lower turn times for airlines. That's why Southwest Airlines can turn a 140-seat plane in 25 minutes and be profitable!
- I was of the understanding that the Boeing 737NG is more fuel efficient than the competing Airbus A320 family, just because it is newer and utilizes newer technology.
- I appreciate Airbus' thought in the fly-by-wire technology and cockpit commonality (which is great)... but I feel safer with Boeing's traditional cockpit. Of course, Boeing does utilize a glass cockpit which replaces the traditional instruments; however, unlike Airbus, the pilot actually has direct control of the hydraulics systems, rather than relying on a computer to fly the plane.
- The shape of the 737 seems to be more comfortable to me. The windows are placed in more comfortable positions for passengers, although apparently Europeans find the Airbus design, with the wider fuselage at shoulder level more comfortable.

I have only flown Boeing 707s, 727s, and 737 Classics in the game.

I think I heard on the radio Yesterday Boeing got a total of just over $150m from 2 aircraft orders, while Airbus got $6.5bn at the Paris Air Show? Obviously the location is important, but Boeing should do better than that.

stephen, the factors are huge for why that happened. Boeing has iirc, about 3000 aircraft backlog. The order your talking about is all A320's. They might have chosen airbus as they have less time to wait than with Boeing, therefore less more aircraft have already been ordered on boeings books

As for the yoke-joystick thing: if humans did not make any progress we would still live in caves without our computers and internet
I decided for Airbus. Since my first flight on the A320 family I loved the quiet engines and the ability for very smooth touch-downs which I never experienced in a B737.
(But if there were a choice for the BAe146 I would have voted for that one. Looks great, powerful engines, comfortable seats.)

I like the four engine look (along with the high wings) it's much different from the regular plane style.
Plus, what are the chances that all four engines will fail!

That highly depends on so many different factors I'm too lazy to name even a few. That and I like the BAe as well, possibly because it's so unconventional.

They did a good job for a STOL aircraft, but they failed to take my order as it's a 4-engined jet.
It's not the matter of Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad. :P

A330 and i like them better because they have more of a modern plane fleet.
and they have better milage then some boeings

Boeing when flying with United, then I can listen to the radio chatter. With United, I like to know why we're being delayed, and can hear it from the cockpit as opposed to a flight attendant choosing whether to tell us or not.
Overseas, the A330 seems a whole lot better than the 767. I despise the 767. Triple 7 though, now there's an airplane.
I've also had many decent flights on a CRJ.

Airbus. Their planes usu. employ newer and greener technology than Boeing's, and are more fuel efficient too.

It is quite possibly the worst plane I've ever been in. As much as I love the 777, I think the 767 is uncomfortable and badly designed- comfort wise, not safety wise. Likewise, I hate the 757, again passenger wise it is just horrible. I feel constricted and as I I were in a streched out 737- I hate the 3-3 seating.
i have to say my vote goes to Airbus because the A330 is comfy and I feel alot more comfortable in the A320s. (I have never been in an A340, so can't comment)

I strangely felt that my flight on a Hainan Airlines Boeing 767 a lot more comfortable than on the Air China/Malaysia Airlines/Air Asia X Airbus A330. The seats were very narrow, the A330.

Difficult to chose, I voted for Airbus because I love the A319/20.
But I love Boeing 737-200 and the Boeing 747.
Over all I would rather fly Airbus, but there is still something about the older Boeing models.

I Personally Favor B777 On All The Airbus Aircrafts Other Than A350 and A 380
But I Think Airbus Is much better than boeing coz boeings aircrafts have became grandparents and they look old and cheap but airbus have a fresher, newer look and better desigs. Though they have wobbly flights even though your on the A340 but after all i say airbus.

as far as I know...boeing is the only company that makes every types of flying machines...helicopters, rockets, missiles, planes, jetfoils...well, at least they did!

I personally have flown more on Boeing aircraft (B747-400, B757-200, B777-300) than on Airbus (A330-300, A340-300), but I think that Airbus wins the verdict on who has a better aircraft, not only because of its innovations in fuel saving technologies, but also of its long-standing commitment to durability and environment compliance. Boeing has really profitted itself by selling mid- and large-size aircrat alike (with the B737, B747, and B777 families being the best known), but the problem comes with its usually high prices and sometimes low reliability rates. Airbus, with its A320 family, on the other hand, continues to excel and exceed itself in providing passenger comfort and safety that may be hard to reconcile with the B737 family, and its aircraft are built to last very long, thus very reliable and handy to maintain and fly for several years.

I personally prefer Airbus, but since Ive only been on A319s and A320s vs. B767s B737s B757s B77s and B747s i cannot be too sure, but Airbuses are much greener which I am a fan of and they're more comfortable in general I think!
