Title: Maintenance Prices
Post by: Bram Steeman on May 10, 2009, 04:27:13 pm
Hi there,

I was wondering if it is possible to see per aircraft how much its costs me per month with maintenance.

I´m looking for some replacement for my older aircraft, but when I buy a replacement I make more profit with the routes but later on I see at my Finances that I´m making less profit per month.

TIA!

To keep it simple, its not possible.
While leaving the maintenance fee unknown to the players, it's not possible for us to know when to replace an aircraft, leaving the fee flies high...

Rule of thumb...

For planes > $300M ... replace every 6 months
For planes > $200M ... replace every 1-2 years
For planes > $150M ... replace every 2-4 years
For planes > $100M ... replace every 3-5 years
For planes > $50M ... replace every 4-6 years
For planes < $50M ... replace every 5-8 years

Thats why 200M+ planes are no-go zones.
