The 747 SP has its uses.  I prefer to just plop A300 in this timeframe, but sometimes you need to go long range.

I would prefer thicker embossed letters like from my home made banner.  Also I would prefer the star to be embossed as well, and perhaps morphed so it appears the plane is dragging it forward.  It is so awesome overall though, are you using PS?

Space between Far and Star and please capitalize.  Not a fan of the pentagon, prefer just the plane and star.

Far Star (version 1) - Simple concept, using just fonts and stars. I used a yellowish-gold. The small version came out a bit pixelated, the font might not be the best quality. If you want anything different, please ask! :D

Large Version (5000x1500)

Up for a redo?  It would be awesome to have a more complex logo.  I really like the job you did for Air China and Middle Eastern.  A nice logo with colors gold, silver, black and , you can add your own choices as well.  I like Air China's clear background as well.  So jealous here, you really did a great job on it.

My last game I had 5 300k routes, and another 14 at 280-299k.  All the 300k were from ATL.  Some were using the Concorde, less 747 and a few 707 and L1011.

747? Where are you using it? I found they barely make more money than something 767 size.

Yeah I've always found the 747s to mot make much money at all.  Right now in my world it is 1960 and I'm having pretty good numbers coming in from the Boeing 720.
Aha! I have made upwards of 250-300k per route! My best route was ATL-LHR (no competition) at about 255k! ;)

If there is no competition have you tried the same route using a smaller plane?  I would think you would get higher profits using a smaller plane if you are by yourself on a route.  The only time I could see a 747 be profitable is to just eat up all the market share from competitors.

Game Strategy / Re: A/C Request Feature
« on: October 15, 2009, 09:14:30 am »
Brokering is wonderful if you have an active broker who is giving a good discount.  If a broker can accept a request within 12 hours, then the discount more than makes up for the time waiting plus you can purchase three times as much.  This way there is 1/3 the wait for your planes if you make a huge order, I always try to max out as many planes as I can afford when I do a broker request.  Then when the planes are ready, I have more than made the money to buy them and I still have more to keep brokering.

If you have a slow broker, or one who is only offering a 3% discount it really is not worth the trouble.  Unless they 3% broker can accept a request within an hour you get a much better ROI just buying yourself.
