Isn't that the goal to be the best? and a good way to be #1 is to have a huge fleet with optimum all over 100% loadfactor and also the maximum profit...
because: the more aircraft means the more profit means the more airline value means the better rank on reports-screen

both of the routes had a profit, but i am renting a gate at frankfurt

does that mean you only created two routes?
to get a good profit, you need to have as much routes, your aircraft can take, an when creating routes, play a little bit with the Proposed Fare... pay attention to the load- factor if it' s 100%, bur don't get to low-priced... I try that out in 10€ steps. if the load-factor is at 100% i raise the fare by 10€ steps until it's in the 90%-area and then I lower it back by 5 or 10€ until the load-factor shows 100% again. so I get maximized my profit...

Ok, my plan to carry as much passengers as possible using the Douglas DC-8-55 failed. In fact of the longer turn-time and the higher maintanence cost it gave me round about the same profit then the caravelle... now I use 2 dc8 for long range routes the other 4 I ordered made a good profit for me on the aircraft-market now I'm replacing the caravelle's with 721's and it works fine- per 721 I make ~100000 more profit a day...

Maybe I have another idea instead of photos: i got a lot of 3D-aircraft-models on my pc. If you want, I can make little flash-movies showing the aircraft from all sides... or simply make stills. they are "generic-colored" so I think that is a good option for the aircraft-market instead of somewhere taken images taken from someone sometime...

at the moment I have only SE 210 Caravelle Super 10B in my active fleet- I like them, but for the future I replace them with Douglas DC-8-55 because of the passenger-capacity. at this moment (1965) it's that one with the most capacity (along with B707-320/-420) but it is lower priced and as long as the longer range of the 707 doesn't matter I believe it's the best choice...
