Do u thinks it's safe to buy a 747 when it's a year old or is it too high to maintain?

No Tristars are ok, its just planes only make decent money doing short/medium haul, and a 747 is too big for anything other than long haul between huge cities.

Isn't fuel usage calculated by a formula, not by real life data. So theoretically the A380 should use more fuel than the 747.

Advantage: Less Fuel usage (total:1)
Disadvantage: More pax, Higher turn time, higher MX cost, higher price (total:4)

1 : 4......

What should I say?

Unfortunately, more passengers is a disadvantage.

I don't see many differences in between DC-10s and Lockheed Tristars

Pax: Almost the same (270:256)
Speed: Lockheeds a little bit faster (490 : 515)
Range: Built for LHs(Lockheed) and DCs are built for MH(3xxx:5xxx)
Price (MX): Lockheeds are a little bit higher (159:170)
Fuel Usage:  Almost the same (19xx:19xx)

I think that the DC-10's are a much nicer to look at "unique design" and that often pulls me towords it then the Tristars
