DOP is ~6 million now. I take delivery of 4 more planes in the afternoon. As of 3AM I have 3 planes waiting for me to pick up. It should be up another 650k or so by the end of the day.

I decided to stay above the fray and offer all-business class service instead on executive jets. 20 seats on a plane designed for 172.....now that's something to write home about. If the round was longer I'd actually start phasing out nonpremium services as I start phasing in executive aircraft, but the round ends in like a week so it's not worth it. Plus even the most overpriced executive jets cost like 19 million.

5.4 million euro DOP, 245 million net worth.

Fleet:
4 DC9-40 (2 more to be purchased soon)
2 DC9-50 to be delivered soon
1 Dash8
2 YS11
1 MD83 executive jet (5 to be delivered today, 4 more tomorrow), 2 leased
1 MD83 on order
2 EMB120s to be purchased soon with 2 more to be delivered soon
1 EMB110 (to be phased out, replaced with EMB120s)
9 leased 10Bs
And a bunch of other leases

I know, I have much fewer planes than others but this is all in a week's work.

You'll need about 2000-2500 miles in range. I think the DC9-50 has about that (in the lower end) and the Caravelle 12s have that (higher range). They hold about 80-90 seats and cost in the high 40's.

Build time is 24 days for the Caravelles and 48 hours for the DC9-50s I believe.

Hence I'd like the next round to start at 1996. Though I'm going with all Airbus next round.

Too bad the A340-500 came out in 1997. The A330-300/200 came out in the late 80's though.

Well by then air travel won't exist anymore. We'll have trains going at 800mph and teleportation by then.

2000 is a good year to start too.

I like the 777, but I like the A340-500 and A321-200 better (The A321 would be even better if it had more range!!!! If it had about 3200-3500 it would be perfect). Let's fast forward to 1995-ish. And I don't know if dktc got what I said when I said all-business class, I mean all-business class i.e. Privatair, not Flexjets.

Airbus planes in general have wider fuselages, which means wider seats which means they're more comfy to fly in.

maybe true, but to my experince, Airbus has let me down

To each his/her own I guess. But if the A330 was good enough for the US Air Force, it's good enough for any virtual airline I'm running. Though I would REALLY love to run JFK-CDG in a 70-seat A321, too bad it doesn't have the range for it. Though with the lighter weight, it might just make it there.

The A340 also has 4 engines rather than 2 which is risk mitigation, basically.

I think we should get 50 million in starting cash instead of a plane. At the start of my exponential expansion the BAe ended up tying up way too much of my net worth in one jet. I sold it and got 2 jets with equivalent seating capacity and range (I got a good deal). I would have loved the ability to choose my own plane

It would also mean some people would fail because they picked too big a plane at the beginning. Apparently the coding does allow for instant delivery of the first plane, and first plane only

Could the next round please be a continuation of this round? I'm actually doing quite well and I'd be very upset to see it all go away.

Or have the option to make it a continuation instead of reset? Or create one game where it's a continuation and the rest would be a reset?
