Implemented Suggestions / View sent messages in game
« on: June 16, 2011, 10:07:28 am »
Hello!

Sometimes I send important messages to other people regarding aircraft sales. But when they reply, I have completely forgotten what I sent them, so I don't have a clue on what to tell them.

That's why I want to ask if it's possible to make an outbox in the game? That way I (and all other players) will have an easier time with this vast improvement.

And add to that the ability to make line breaks, then you'll have the perfect messaging system!

[=] Suggestions / AMMap general suggestions
« on: June 13, 2011, 06:03:23 pm »
Hi again :)

I was thinking if it is possible to select a single hub to be shown in AMMap? Instead of all hubs at the same time, which can be really cluttered. Or can you make it a different (maybe user-defined) colour for each hub?

It would be nice if you can select some countries on the map, so the map only shows flights to/from that country.

And lastly, is it possible to embed the map on the forums? If not, can it be done in some way?

I hope you (Stephen and the wonderful staff) will take a look at these suggestions, and consider them when developing the game further.

[=] Suggestions / Aircraft ranking listings
« on: June 13, 2011, 05:58:45 pm »
Hi!

Is it possible to be able to sort the Rankings by name and player ID?

That would be nice, especially in larger worlds, where you can have trouble looking up a small airline.

Bugs / [NAB] Can't view 'View Latest Aircraft' for 2008
« on: June 11, 2011, 10:43:11 am »
I was looking for a replacement for the 767-200 in 2007, and wanted to see new aircraft coming in 2008 (current year is 2007). The problem is that it says 'no results to display'.

As far as I can see, there's at least one new plane in 2008 (AeroVolga LA-8), so why can't I see new aircraft from 2008?

[+] Suggestions / Aircraft price in route research

Hi!

Is it possible to list the price of the aircraft in research route? That way you can compare different aircraft without having to go to the purchase page.

Game Data / Dornier 728/928
« on: May 27, 2011, 08:12:30 am »
Hi! I was browsing the web for info about the Dornier 728, and found this data sheet - link - with data about the Dornier 728-100/200 and Dornier 928-100/200.

But the data aren't the same in the data sheet and in the game - the range of the 728-100 in-game is 1610, but the data sheet says 2570 km or 1388 NM. What data did AM use?

I can also see there's a 928-100 and a 928-200 - why is there only one 928 in the game?

The engine models of the 928 in the game is also the wrong one; it should be either General Electric CF34-10D5 or 10D6 for respectively the -100 and -200; and the engine for the 728-200 should be 10D3.

I hope to see a better game in the future!

General Chat / Paper aircraft
« on: May 23, 2011, 01:42:10 pm »
You all know the paper aircraft you make folding paper. But while browsing Dassault Aviations website, I found this:

http://www.dassault-aviation.com/en/passion/news/headlines/an-origami-version-of-the-falcon-2000s.html?L=1&cHash=8328870e9f

A paper version of the Dassault Falcon 2000S!

I will try and see if I can make one, and I'll post the results here. I estimate the difficulty to be high, as there are many small parts.

Airline Reports / [PW# 1241] Cityjet Executive Class
« on: May 23, 2011, 11:05:40 am »
Cityjet is connecting the world in First Class!

If you are tired of crowed air terminals, lousy airlines, bad service, far-away airports and long flights? Well, Cityjet has none of this!

Cityjet flies to six continents from London City Airport, both to big airports, but also to smaller airport near city centres, only accesible by small planes.

Cityjet has a state of the art fleet of Dassault Falcons (10, 30 & 900), and we fly several times daily to almost all our destinations - you can go to a meeting in Madrid in the morning, and be home in the afternoon. No need to stay the night on a bad hotel.

Do you have a business meeting in New York? No problem! Take a night-flight on our Falcon 900 with lie-flat seats and arrive rested in the morning. In the afternoon you can go shopping or sightseeing, or you can take one of our other flights back home.

If you miss your connection, there wont be long until the next flight, as we fly several times daily to all our European destinations.

There is always three different courses to choose from, and they are reviewed every week to ensure you wont get the same twice. You can of course also request a special meal.

Our fleet:
Dassault Falcon 10:
A small biz-jet which can fly to small airfields out of reach for the most airliners. It can get you to the centre of your destination city, or it can take you far out in the country to have a nice, peaceful vacation.

Dassault Falcon 30:
A large short-range biz-jet, capable of flying to all Europe. It has luxurious seats and a small galley. We fly these to all the big cities several times a day.

Dassault Falcon 900:
The most modern intercontinental biz-jet. Some of our Falcon 900's are equipeed with lie-flat seats and a curtain to ensure privacy during the flight. A flight attendant will ensure you get what you want to eat, prepared by a chief on the flight. There are power plugs for your personal computer, and a sattelite phone so you won't have to stop your work just because you are flying.

Routes from London City Airport:

Please note, we do also operate leisure airline Cityjet from London Gatwick.

Bugs / Beriev Be-210 range
« on: May 19, 2011, 10:22:50 pm »
As you can see in the game, the Be-210 has a range of 3286 nm. But in the information folder (here) it says 972 nm with max passengers or 1700nm with max fuel.
I think that is a great difference, and if it isn't a wrong data entry, I'm curious to see the source.

Aircraft: Beriev Be-210 (#513 I think)

Airline Branding Center / [CLOSED] 1993matias' paint job shop
« on: May 18, 2011, 10:14:58 am »
Due to lack of interest, I am closing down. I don't know when I open again. I am sorry.

Well, because so many have decided to make their own livery threads, I have decided to make my own.

I have limited time, and because I put so much work in the livery it will be a limited number of requests I will do. But if you're the lucky one, you won't be disappointed.

The quality of my liveries is always high, as I make my liveries in a photoshop-like program (GIMP). I will save the raw file so I will be able to make changes fast and seamless if requested. I am very versatile in my liveries and I have a great variety of templates - nearly everything.

Some examples of my paint jobs:

You can view all of my paint jobs here and here

If you want to make a request, please fill in as much of this form as possible; the more information you give, the easier it is to make your livery just as you want it:

It is easier for me to paint you an aircraft if you fill out the form!
