NEWSFLASH: By a narrow margin of just over €200,000, very much to our surprise, we are now currently number one! SkyConnect does still control the top 2 as well with Ucon being just barely put into the number 2 spot.

We don't begrudge you the title. UCON recently applied for and recieved from the DOT, the rights to operate service to 4 Canadian points (Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Ottawa. These flights; served by SE 210B Super Caravelles, complement the multiple flights to smaller Canadian points that we operate; also on Caravelles. Our fleet is composed of 10 Caravelles and 5 737-200HGWs, with 1 and 3 respectively on order.

UniteContinental announced orders for 45 aircraft today, stunning those who believe that the carrier's rapid growth. The order was composed of 25 Sud SE 210B Super Caravelles, and 20 Boeing 737-200Adv. These aircraft are purported to be used at UCON's home base of Chicago O'hare

Not trying to call you out (you are, after all, a valuable alliance partner  ;)), but according to the game, you only have 18 aircraft.  When are you placing this order?

I'm doing it from a real airline perspective; it's a commitment that will be firmed up a few a/c at a time

Let me venture a guess:

The British Airways and the Qatar are 1-2 in some order

Southwest is probably 3

BMI
JAL
Cathay
or American

has 1 each

Sounds like an awesome world...but I think I may end up passing. Got quite a bit to do in July in preparation for getting married in August.

Besides, gopats wouldn't want to share HND with me again.  ;) I think he didn't appreciate the de-icing glycol hand soap prank we pulled in his concourse.

All joking aside, I'll be keeping an eye on the world. If possible, I may join up after mid-August finally rolls around...if the wife lets me.  :(

Congratulations!!

Oh East West, have you abandoned Realistic World 2.0?

Do you want to share LAX with me. We both can operate there, but if you really want it for yourself, I'll switch off LAX and SEA, and open a GUM hub for myself.

Hmm. I see one sort of problem with this; it penalizes carriers with small home bases. For example, Ethiopian airlines is more likely to stay in business right now than Frontier, but in AM Frontier would have the larger value. Therefore I think that there should be some sort of better way of doing this. I'm thinking that maybe we could exclude Africa from this valuation limitation. Or, do a sort of value in relation to the combined size of the bases (ie if a carrier has bases in Atlanta and Tulsa, their airline would have 89+3=92 million combined size of base)

Then divide their value by the pax size of bases to determine a score. The airlines with the lowest scores would then be deleted.

Anyhow, I'd like to join as a US based carrier as well.

Plan to simulate United Airlines with the following hubs

ORD (base)
LAX
DEN
SFO
IAH
EWR
IAD
CLE
SEA
