Title: Aircraft Cycles and Airframe hours
Post by: StephenM on May 08, 2008, 09:20:44 pm
The data for Aircraft Cycles and Airframe Hours is now being collected on an hourly basis. Obviously since this is mid-round its not a true representation of the data. Would players like the data to be displayed anyways, even though its not going to be correct for planes in service before this change?

Yah, that would be nice. However it might be helpful if you somehow marked the planes which had their first flight before the start of the count!

everything looks good while testing. Suprised to see so much hours on a aircraft and now I realise that hours on a aircraft works as oppose to mileage

Maintenance is all based off hours in the aviation industry. :)

Wouldn't it go more off cycles?  That's why long haul aircraft are generally in service longer, less stress from less take off and landings?  I know this probably should go in the suggestions forum, but what if maintenance was much higher for aircraft with lots of short frequencies, that would help end all the short routes being ruined by people running 5+x.
