Channel Direct [Airlines]


Channel Direct Airlines is British Airline based out of London Gatwick Airport.
Founded on the 1st of Jan 1956 we are currently the 2nd largest airline in Britain and in the top 15 internationally.
Currently we (18th Feb 1956 Game time) operate 24 flights daily to 3 countries.
Our Fleet consists of an Industriework Il-14p and a leased in AW.55 Apollo, with 2 DC-3s on order.


We are very proud of our base airport and its county Sussex as it is a beautiful area and a destination in its self.

Channel Direct Airlines has taken delivery of the first of its 3 DC-3 aircraft with options for up to 3 more it is unknown at this time if the options will be used as CDA is known to be looking into other aircraft manufactures for expansion.

The Routes opened with the DC-3 are London Gatwick to, Brussels, Brussels Charleroi, Cork, Dublin and Shannon.

Channel Direct Airlines has also just launched a promotion for flights to Jersey, the small island in the English Channel is known for is sandy beaches and quaint villages.

Channel Direct Airlines has taken delivery of 2 DC-3 aircraft as well as converting two of its options in to orders. Though CDA made a surprise announcement of the order of a Vickers Viscount 800, the airline say it is for increasing capacity on its main routes.

The Routes opened with the 2 new DC-3s are London Gatwick to, Rotterdam, Glasgow Prestwick, Doncaster Sheffield, Leeds Bradford, Eindhoven, Brest - Bretagne, Norwich, Inverness, Newquay, Plymouth, City of Derry and Isles of Scilly - St. Mary`s. These new routes substantially increase number of destinations available.

Channel Direct Airlines has taken delivery of 2 more DC-3 aircraft though no more DC-3 have been ordered though a second Vickers Vanguard 800 has been ordered.

The Routes opened with the 2 new DC-3s are London Gatwick to, Rennes - Saint-Jacques, Liège Airport, Nice Côte d´Azur, Lyon - Saint Exupery, Marseille Provence, Lille - Lesquin, Nantes Atlantique, Humberside, Durham Tees Valley and Lands End - St. Just. These routes mainly increase our French Network.


BREAKING NEWS
Channel Direct Airlines has just started routes to New York using a Leased Lockheed Constellation aircraft. This makes CDA the first trans-atlantic flights from London Gatwick.
