I'm a bit confused, is it a general introduction or just for mods?

Seeing that I am the only "mod" here, I think Jps is trying to annoy me again.

As a matter of fact, AEB is one of the bosses

And don't make it sounds like I am abusing my power. (and I don't believe you wouldn't try to annoy me.)

And we have a staff page to introduce us. What do you want to know anyway?

let's see... I am not as cute as DanielD :P ; not as smart as AEB; not as mature as Stephen.....

Name: Daniel Chan (as said in my email address)
Where I am from: Hong Kong (not a secret)

Why I always delete your posts / edit them: Because...
1. The info in your posts may not be true.
2. Your posts may be offending / contain accusation of fellow players / potentially be the cause of flame wars.
3. I don't think I have deleted your post. You yourself did.
4. I locked your brokerage thread because you openly challenged me by saying it is "dktc free" (ie. I didn't moderate it). So I did as you request (ie. moderate it) and found false claims/info so I locked it.

Stephen just added me to the staff page a couple of days ago. There is not much to tell anyway. We are not an online dating service afterall :P

No interstaff relations.
On a side note any more AM staff recruited will be 18+ with age verification. The lack of maturity comes out after a period of time.

And since Dex is now staff doesn't that mean we have no moderators? :D

Stephen is just jealous. Alright, you are cute too :P  :P  :P

Seriously, the 18 benchmark was what I hated when I was 16~17. I didn't see why I couldn't be mature at 16, and I don't see why 18 = mature. Age is not a reliable indicator. Life experiences, peer groups, education (esp. leadership positions in school/activities), personality, ... etc. play a huge role. And when you look at some college kids at 20, they still behave like a kid at 13  . I think it is more important to "know" the potential staff. You need to spend time getting to know him/her, how he/she acts and think, before you make a decision. Age doesn't speak much at the late teens, early "tweens" range. (and yes, "tweens" is actually a new term in social science / psychology / marketing, refering to people at their twenties but still behaving like a teen. Some of the generation Y is expected to fall into that group.)

Agreed, maturity doesn't come at 18 but its a good rule of thumb. Also when you get into legal matters you have to have 18's + to prevent any issues from arising there.

Well, need a soon 40 year old as a mod? :D
Indeed sometimes age is just a number, and the difference between 16 and 18-20 is not THAT big, between 14-16 it is though. I sometimes feel like 17 but looking in the mirror takes me back, haha.
I remember a girl I used to know, she was more mature than my grandma, and she was only 16, and I know 60 year old men who play around with Scalextric and Tyco. It's all in how you behave, particulary here on the net, heck I thought most of you guys were a lot older, but your young age does not show in the way you behave here ;)
