Alliances / Re: Virgin Group- Public World 799
« on: August 07, 2009, 05:00:44 pm »
Hello to all Virgin Group members.

I'm currently on holiday abroad with relatives and the days are just packed! I barely have enough time to maintain + create new routes and IRC is out of the question!

I've noticed signs of a pending gate shortage in Europe + N.America and started creating €10,000 flights (0% loadfactor so doesn't affect the alliance member) out of alliance bases in order to hold onto them for future longhaul. It is a bit early to do so but I will not have internet access for the next 48 hours.

Good luck while I'm away!

Thanks a lot!

Aesthetic bug now - table widths do not match but it doesn't affect the gameplay.

Anyone seen the overusage of Fokker F100s?  They seem pretty unhappy. :(

Bugs / Leased aircraft - Excruciatingly hard to edit/close routes

I noticed that clicking the info for leased aircraft and seeing the route list, one cannot edit or close routes from this screen.  Instead, I need to go to the very long routes page in order to do any route editing or closing.

Sorry, but I've already decided to go with 717/MD-90 for #799 as they share commonality.

I may not be a member but my fleet commonality drive this time for added challenge coincides with COMA's aims!

Bugs / Aircraft Range Unit consistency...
« on: July 21, 2009, 07:22:55 pm »
I was taking a look at various aircraft and in the big main list, most of the "typical" range figures are in Statute Miles.  The exception is the A330/340 family to name one, which seems to be in Nautical Miles.

In the select engine page however, everything is written down as Nautical Miles, which is even more confusing.  For example, the longest ranged variant of the A340-300 states "8510nm".  However, no A343 has 8510nm range...but they actually have approx 8510mi in the real-world.

Same goes for the 777-200 with the RR Trents 895s, 8820nm is 772LR territory, but 8820mi would make sense...

etcetc...

Someone's ordered 11x A333LR before the dumping began.  If he really is going to start a pricewar, those planes will be quite a sight.

Good old days... 8)

Talking about dumping, I have a single A321-100 coming in to test a theory on game dynamics.  If the test is successful, the A321 will continue to dump - if it's not, I'll just place it on a superairport route which I don't fly to yet.

- I can't wait to see 11x Airbus A330-300 LR being used in intra-European runs.

Dunno
But that page will be very long..... :-X
There is a nice, short way of doing it by re-arranging the table, like how one of the pioneers of this genre (which Stephen used to play) does it.

W10 was near-perfect for me.  My efforts will stick to W10 as I cannot maintain two worlds at once.

The fireworks were there for real, outside the stadium.
At least the fireworks actually went off, although TV viewers didn't see it.

As for the girl substitution, it wasn't a nice thing to do and China will hopefully learn from this.
