Title: Does this constitute feeding?
Post by: kcclieou on May 23, 2009, 07:29:03 am
Here is one thing that I am not really clear about.

Suppose someone closes down his airline and sells all his planes in the open market at half their original value. Now suppose I purchase these planes and then immediately resell them at 70% their original value (i.e. 40% higher than the purchase price) to third parties, and earn a large sum of money from it. Does my behavior constitute feeding and hence a violation of game rules?

Depends on your tie with the airline that sells off planes at 50%. If we have reasons to believe that you are privy to the knowledge of the sales and/or that the intention of the sales, regardless of means, is to increase your cash, then, it could constitute feeding. There is no clear cut line for these cases. Each case is judged separately by our experienced admins based on logs and patterns of behaviors.

One rule of thumb is not to do anything suspicious.
