Game Strategy / A380
« on: June 11, 2012, 02:55:22 am »
Just a suggestion for those tempted, DO NOT BUY THE A380. The most profitable route i've managed to set it up on is LHR-PEK (€22,610). There are other routes out there such as ATL-LHR which can give a profit of about €65K, but compared to the cost of the plane and the profit from other planes in the same route, its not worth it (ATL-LHR; 773 €181K; 767 can give slightly higher)

General Chat / Your oldest Aircraft (age and cycles)
« on: December 27, 2011, 09:11:47 pm »
Currently in one world I'm:

DC-4-1009 at 48.5 years (Cycles: 5950    Hours: 111520)
Fokker F27-200 at 29.8 years (Cycles: 57140    Hours: 114280)
Fokker F27-200 (Cycles: 34284    Hours: 79996)

those are the only 3 aircraft I have. Maint is 2.8million with a total monthly profit of 9.6 million

Although mind you i am in debt of -141 million, one of the perks of being a broker and getting hundreds of scrap aircraft :p

Bugs / View routes page 2 bugs
« on: December 26, 2011, 07:07:27 pm »
Firstly, when viewing by hub you cannot choose all flights of a particular hub in order to close them

Secondly when you click on 'Profit' to sort by highest to lowest, the page reloads but doesn't change the order of routes. Original page it goes to is this:

Code: [Select]
http://www.airlinemogul.com/airlinemogul/view_routes.php?sort= 0 &submit=Select&id=0
but when I tried a few things out and changed 0 to 1:

Code: [Select]
http://www.airlinemogul.com/airlinemogul/view_routes.php?sort= 1 &submit=Select&id=0
(spaces are intentional)

the routes loaded correctly in order

Suggestions / DOC history
« on: November 23, 2011, 05:51:20 pm »
I know I have been a way from AM for a very long time, but life happens  :-[

I just got an idea, why not have a chart which shows the history of DOC, bank balance and airline value? would be useful to see how the DOC varies when for example aircraft are changed. Also will be interesting to see how much leased aircraft and such alters the profit at the end of the month

Bugs / W923 PFL Aircraft oddity
« on: November 07, 2009, 12:51:18 am »
Right, ordered 2 A320's as PFL at 3mill each. someone picked them up and currently has them both on routes, but above the aircraft details in each aircrafts individual page, it says the following:

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/vhosts/airlinemogul.com/httpdocs/airlinemogul/ac_info.php on line 98

with no route map or how much the aircraft is earning per day as per usual, but the hours, cycles and airframe is working without problems.

W923
679
GCAS
aircraft involved: 7116, 7117

also it will be good to be able to see how long PFL aircraft have till they are delivered

At New York's Kennedy airport today, an individual later discovered to be a public school teacher was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a protractor, a T-square, a slide rule, and a calculator.

At a morning press conference, Attorney general John Ashcroft said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement. The man is being charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction.

"Al-gebra is a fearsome cult," Ashcroft said. "They desire average solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in a search for absolute value. They use secret code names like x and y and refer to themselves as unknowns, but we have determined they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, there are 3 sides to every triangle," Ashcroft declared.

When asked to comment on the arrest, President Bush said, "If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes. I am gratified that our government has given us a sine that it is intent on protracting us from these math-dogs who are willing to this-integrate us with calculus disregard. Murky statisticians love to inflict plane on every sphere of influence," the President said, adding: "Under the circumferences, we must differentiate their root, make our point, and draw the line."

President Bush warned, "These weapons of math instruction have the potential to decimal everything in their math on a scalene never before seen unless we become exponents of a Higher Power and begin to factor-in random facts of vertex."

Attorney General Ashcroft said, "As our Great Leader would say, read my ellipse. Here is one principle he is uncertainty of: though they continue to multiply, their days are numbered as the hypotenuse tightens around their necks."
