In response to the "i work but still play AM" thread

Same rules, students only, no working members of the community here, hah

Anyways, I'm currently in Year 1 (of 2) of the IB Diploma Programme...

If you know the IB, here's my 6 subjects:
Group 1: English A1 SL
Group 2: Chinese B SL
Group 3: Physics HL (Quantum & Nuclear, Optics optioned)
Group 4: Geography SL
Group 5: Math HL (don't know options yet....I think one's sets and relations, can't remember)
Group 6: Chemistry HL (Further organic & industrial chem optioned i believe)

Too bad my school doesn't offer CS as a Group 5 subject....

How about all of you guys?

General Chat / Gizme Routemap Studio

Seeing as my schedule is quite free at the moment, I am now offering this new service to all AM airlines. However, there will be rules.  :twisted:

(1) The service is completely free.
(2) You must request a routemap for yourself and yourself only. If your "friend" would like one, please ask them to post here directly.
(3) READ THE MENU before requesting. If you do not request properly, I will not accept your order.
(4) Please allow 72 hours for delivery. I know this is three months in-game, but it will take some time for me to generate the base map as well as Photochopping it up for you


Step One
Choose a background "base" map. This can be Europe, North America, or any minutely detailed area you wish. For example, if you were a French domestic airline, you can say "Just France without rest of Europe". I'll get you a map of just France floating around If you have a specific map you want to use from the net, give me the URL. Here, also provide the map projection you want to use. If you don't have one in mind, I would suggest a Robinson (slightly at the edges) or a Mercator project (most common type)

Step Two
Select the 25 routes from your hub (and up to 10 from each focus city) you want me to put on your map. If you put more than 25, I ignore them

Step Three
Describe precisely what you want your legend and map to look like. Things like the colours of the routes, background splash, legend font should be included. Also include your legend text here.

Step Four
Understand that making a route map from an ArcView file is not easy. Wait 72 hours. I will contact you if you missed something/I don't understand something.

Bugs / [Minor] Bug regarding DOP display

Probably not at the top of your priorities for the moment, but the DOP as listed in the box on the top-right corner doesn't match with the DOP as added up when you view your routes page.



Edit: Please tell me if it's just because of extra stuff like staff and maintenance...I just realized...

Bugs / Logo Bug

ID: Nobody follows this rule, so I would have no idea which number were up to
Airline: Many foreseeable airlines
Problem: Logo gets accidentally replaced.

Technical Details: Logo is written over if same name found. For example, Untitled.jpg, if shared amongst two airlines, will be replaced.

Solution: Get Air El to replace logo name with ID number so as to NOT get overwritten logos. Simple script really. Except you'd need everyone to redonate their logos again

Let us invent the Airline Mogul Aptitude Test. The test must be:
* Boring
* Long
* About AM
* Controversial!

And question types:
* Critical Management
* Trivia that no body will know and which knowing it will be an absolute waste of your time since you're never gonna use that knowledge anyway (vocab anyone?)
* Easy-a__ airline math.

Come on people, add questions! You can either put multiple choice ones (A-E) or, in the case of airline math, "student-produced responses"

It has come to our attention, actually Stephen's, or someone who's told Stephen but they were too lazy to put this on, that a certain somebody has registered the domain http://www.airlinemogul.net, possibly in an attempt to trick users into visiting their site.

Please be advised that this site/game is in no way related to or part of the Airline Mogul official game. It links to a website called www.airwaysim.com, and is not actually called Airline Mogul.

Further news will be available via probably Stephen, since he's the one who told me about this.
