General Chat / Re: First Snow of the Season!
« on: December 17, 2008, 07:55:19 pm »
Umm.... we are getting large amounts of snow... so before you get your Eastern "ohhh look at how much snow we get dont complain" you have to realize that In seattle the elevation goes up from 0 to 500 feet in less than a mile before going back down to 150 feet and then to 300. Its very hilly in Seattle, resulting in icy hills which no one can drive up or down. Plus were forecasted to get 4-8 inches of snow and about 6 inches on Sat-sun.

yet.... we get a 2 hour delay again even though there isnt to much snow left on the road ways  :D

You've obviously never driven on the Saw Mill River Parkway. It's hilly AND curvy. ;)

I like private worlds. And I prefer having very few people in the worlds I play in-I have more room to spread out and I'm not trying to keep up with the Joneses.

And by the way, my biggest base is Toronto Pearson, thank you, and I'm in a 19 person world. I don't see the point of pitting 16,000 players against each other frankly, or even 1,600. The world's too small for that. That's an average of EIGHT players per airport at every single one of the ~2,000 airports in the game, and at 1,600 that's 0.8 on average per airport, which brings the question, how many airports in the game actually are viable bases? By the way, lowering fares on the same flights, every day, for 3 months running, it gets OLD, very fast.

General Chat / Re: So you have any exams lately?

Finals hell week this week. Stayed up till 5 "studying" and then now I'm up way too early on a day I don't have class.

Go back to bed?

Can't. I've got studying to do. Oh, and once these exams are over, I get to study for the LSAT.....wonderful.

Does anyone know if British law schools require the LSAT? And no, my SAT's weren't that stellar either. At least a great LSAT can negate any transgressions on the GPA side. ;)

In the NYC/Boston/DC area: you need to be practically buried. It better not snow in NYC because I'll have to practically dig my way to my exams.

On the west coast? 1/2 inch.

General Chat / Re: The AM Wish List
« on: December 15, 2008, 09:21:39 am »
The realistic list:

Some spending money
A new iPod
A 3.6 or higher GPA for the fall semester

The completely unrealistic list:

A check for $15 billion
A private jet (an A330-200 prestige or a 777-200LR should do nicely)
A crash in my university's computer system wiping out all of my grades along with everyone else's and resulting in me getting a 4.0 GPA retroactive to my first year.

Mexicana was in Star beforehand. We need a ruling on cases like this. Also: Continental. Leaving Skyteam, joining Star sometime soon.

Why not. I'll give it a go again...any chance I can base at ICN? And since you wanted a Star member, Asiana.

There's no bigger hell on earth than flying in a CRJ for more than an hour. Please, I'd rather drive.

Show me some proof and I might even stop laffing at that >:(
E621 is Monosodiumglutamate is an amino acid - used to make protein, 100% natural, a good salt replacment in food, and no known side effects.

If soemthing had a majour side effect, it would not be allowable to be used.

Monosodium Glutamate, aka MSG, is known to make any food it comes in contact with taste absolutely disgusting. That's a side effect that I care about.

High fructose corn syrup is known to be addictive and responsible for sodas in the US tasting repulsive (for the record, I only buy cane sugar soda) and the repulsive taste of other goods with the substance in it. HFCS will block a signal that goes to the brain telling the brain to stop eating because it's full, causing you to eat and eat and eat, until you get fat. Yet it's not banned in the US. Seriously, I'll ban HFCS before banning trans fats. At least trans fats taste okay.
