Currently I'm drooling over the Volvo S60:

Once I'm a proud owner I'm sure I'll be chasing after something else

Otherwise, I quite like Honda, but I'm a little influenced by the fact my Dad has had 6 of them!

Stephen, my dad had one of those. The turbo was amazing! It was like noting on earth!

Anything made by the Japanese/Swedish is fine with me! :P

Audi here. Although the previous one I had broke down (after 25,000kms!) on my way home one late evening  The ECU was in emergency mode which resulted in loss of power - no turbo :( The replacement car was a VW Passat (40,000kms) suffering the same problem since this morning. Seems the VW/Audi turbodiesel cars having quality problems. Not sure what replacement car I will receive tomorrow as I drive rental cars only.

The greatest part of the Olympian is its faster to walk than riding this vehicle when its going uphill. [Serious]  :-X

Love my Jags. Started with an X-Type 2.5. Added an XJS. Upgraded to an XF last year. Aspiring for an E-Type before I die!  8)

I own one like this and I absolutely love it!  :D

Mazda 323 BD
1985
1.3 GLX
5 spd. manual

The engine is simple and very reliable. I driven it without engine oil for ~30km and nothing happened. That engine is still running without any problems.
Oh and I installed centralized lock with an alarm and electric windows. :P

I've driven a Volvo V70 and a Mazda 6 and I have to say the Mazda beat the Volvo seat-wise.

Whereas I've driven an Volvo S60 and a Mazda 3, I really enjoyed driving the Mazda, but I just cannot forget melting into the S60's seat, it was fantastic!

Few days ago I bought me a new ride. It costed me a whooping 250 Euros :D and it came with LPG installed ^^

It was an icon for bad cars. Since it first appeared in 1978, almost 800,000 have been sold, but an attempt to sell it in North America in 1985 ended disastrously, despite having the lowest list price on the market. The ride was derided by American car magazines "as barely qualifying as a car" and "an assembled bag of nuts and bolts." U.S. owners complained of frequent engine failures and transmission problems.

I present you...

Yugo 45
1985
900 cc
4 spd. manual

But Yugo has made its way in pop – culture and history.
Die Hard 3? Yes, Yugo was there. Drowning Mona – you can’t forget that one, can’t you? Of course, 101 Dalmatians...
Metallica features Yugo in their video clip "The Day That Never Comes"

The Yugo was the butt of some fine jokes:

Why is the Yugo’s rear window heated?
To keep your hands warm while you push it.

How do you double the value of a Yugo?
Fill up the gas tank.

What takes up the last six pages of the Yugo users manual?
The train and bus timetables.

In the end it's not that bad. For 250 euros I have a car that consumes the gas like a zippo lighter. It is small so I can find the parking place everywhere and it does the job of driving from point A to point B. I use it for my work coz I have to drive to several locations in a day and parking downtown is hell with a bigger car.

Bigger piece of junk: The Yugo or the Trabi?

I love the Yugo's features.

Looks like a Nissan Micra, so the design must not have been that bad. :)

Trabi ofc.....later versions of Yugo had Central locking, three steps rotary switch on the dash marked "0", "1", "2", "3" for Headlamps levelling control in four height positions, 4-speakers Car Audio system, Electric windows, Folding Electro-adjustable Side-view mirrors, Alloy wheels and optional Air Conditioner and also an optional Renault-designed three-speed automatic transmission.

Well after a long search and decision making progress I placed an order with a local dealer for a Volvo S40. They got one this week in the UK that fitted what I wanted so hopefully I'll complete the deal in the next 2 weeks. :)

METAR EIKN 241400Z 25037G55KT 5000 -RA BKN006 BKN008 BKN015 11/11 Q0987 NOSIG=
Winds gusting up to 55kts!

XC90 is pretty cool too, but definitely not practical for a 21 year old male in Ireland. Insurance companies make a small fortune off people like me, (One of the highest risk categories).

The US is great for classic cars, generally they are very rare here, or are generally not maintained too well as its owned by a farmer who has had it for 20 years!

I know but that's the fun in restoring them.
Right now i'm giving a hand once in a while to a buddy who's trying to resore his 1982 Volks Vanagon Camper. (we call them Westfalias around there)

I'm saying trying, because we just found out that the Tranny is about to die. Those things are expensive So it's sitting in his driveway, waiting for him to decide (we're looking at 1000$ plus S&H for a rebuilt unit) what to do next.
