General Chat / Re: Skiing or Snowboarding?
« on: December 23, 2008, 01:25:03 am »
I've never done either of them, but I'd prefer to try snowboarding (Because it looks cool  :P)
My primary school stopped running trips to the Ski Fields the year that I was old enough to go on them citing "low demand" which is crazy because everyone wanted to go...  ^-^ My high school organises skiing/snowboarding trips in the weekends in winter but I'm too lazy to fill out the form saying I want to go and also organising a good date for my mates to come

Also if snowboarding is anything like surfing I would hopefully find it easy as I find surfing very easy  :D

Why would you even want it? I oh so wish I could move over to linux for everything. @_@
windows 7 is set to be much better than them all when released
Wasn't Vista meant to be much better than all the previous OS's?

Profitable long-haul involves major revamp of the loadfactor system in AM. Takes longer than multi-class
Not really, you could start by making the maintenance costs lower which would make larger ac cheaper to run. MX costs are really the main problem that make large ac in AM unprofitable...

I would personally rather have profitable long haul operations first...
Yes!..... but multi-configuration seats just was released in another competitor.... ;)

I hope that when it comes out its good, as I enjoy playing my plane sims :D
But profitable LH would also be able to be created and implemented faster and easier than multi class seating, so it should be done first as it all it really requires is the maintenance costs for ac to be decreased  ;)

Only 8424km for me :-[

Although I've been all over the South Island of NZ in a car multiple times and to a quite few places in the North Island.
Hopefully either flying to Brisbane again in either 2010 for a holiday on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast, or a trip to Kaitaia in '09. I'd prefer to go to Australia again, but it all comes down to money unfortunately and a 2 week holiday in Australia would be rather expensive :(

I want to create a few of my own flightplans, so is there a flightplan creator/compilor prgram that works in FSX?

I know this thread is kinda old now, but I'll post my new desktop anyway.
I made this wallpaper last week, there's a few issues with it but I'm too lazy to fix them  8)
JPEG images are so grainy, but I don't want to upload a 3.75MB BMP image...

General Chat / Re: The AM Wish List
« on: December 15, 2008, 08:17:34 am »
I have 2 lists, a realistic one, and an 'I really really want, but not going to happen list'

The realistic list: (I already know some of what I'm getting lol  :D)
  • NZ$100 (So I can buy Killzone 2 when it releases next February for PS3, which will be epic!  :D)
  • The usual Christmas chocolate/candy
  • A good piss-up with the family and maybe a swim in my uncles pool if he has fixed the filter

The 'I really really want, but not going to happen list', Here we go! :
  • $100,000,000,000,000,000
  • A decent Alienware PC that will run FSX properly (I have the settings turned waaaaay down on my PC currently) and also the Halflife 2 series of games including Portal (honestly one of the greatest game series EVER along with the Fina Fantasy series!)
  • A private jet (preferably a 777-300ER or 747-8i
  • A huge around the world trip (using the private jet  :P) going pretty much everywhere although mostly to places with big themeparks like Six Flags Magic Mountain in LA, and warm sunny beaches in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, also to go and visit my Aunties family in Chile
  • A ride on Clive, Steven and StephenM will understand

Umm can't thing of anything else lol.
