I was thinking about how there are engine options for all the plane in Airline Mogul but no options to retrofit aircraft with blended winglets. The three main families that utilize these winglet retrofits are the 737 family, 757, and the 767 family. I have done a little research on these aircraft and their winglet options. This could be like and engine option and could be more useful in the future when runway lengths come into play.

737 Family:
-Offered on the -700, -800, -900 (standard on the BBJ)
-Up to 6% fuel savings on longer flights
-Less effective on shorter flights but reduce takeoff thrust which saves fuel and lowers engine maintenance
-Extends range:
-Winglets cost about $750,000 apiece with another $80,000 for installation for a total of $$1,580,000
-It takes about a week to install the winglets

757 Family:
- Offered on both variants
- Aviation Partners Inc. (maker of winglets) claims a 5% fuel savings and 200nm of extra range.
-Cost about a $1,250,000 apiece plus $100,000 for installation for a total of $2,600,000

767 Family:
-Offered on the -200 and -300 (-400 has raked wingtips like 777)
-”The 767-300ER can be retrofitted with blended winglets from Aviation Partners Boeing. These winglets are 11 ft (3.4 m) long and decrease fuel consumption an estimated 5%-6.5% on the -300ER”
-Hawaiian Airlines says 5% fuel reduction
Couldn’t find an exact cost so I extrapolated, winglets cost $1,750,000 with another $100,000 for installation

You are not quite correct. The winglet option is offered only on the 767-300ER, not the non-ER and not the -200.

Also, winglets are offered on the 737-300 and 737-500 as well.

I apologize for my mistake thanks for catching that. And thank you for informing me of the -300 and -500 winglets, I thought another variant had winglets beside the NG's thanks for the info.

No problem ;)

Other types also have optional winglets.

Tu-154(M?)
A32X family - Only available on new-build aircraft starting 2013 or 2014. Will replace the original wing fences with blended winglets as on the 737NG.
A number of business jets, including Dassault.

It is also rumoured that Aviation Partners Boeing is working on blended winglets for the 777. Presumably only the 777-200A, -200ER and 300A, as all other versions feature raked wingtips. Not done yet though.
A few airlines have also pushed for winglets on the 767-200ER, but it is unknown if this is feasable. But the same was said for the 757-300.

I like this suggestion a lot.

Here is a good link for cost and fuel savings with the use of winglets:
http://www.b737.org.uk/winglets.htm

I know that in order to implement this more data will be needed but it is a start for the 737 family at least. Also, i don't think it would have to cover ALL aircraft that could have winglets installed, just those major ones. 737s, 757s, 767s, 727s, ect.

I like the idea, but with all the time one spends replacing their fleet with newer aircraft, I'm not going to piddle around with squeezing range out of current aircraft that I'll have to replace in the next few weeks or so. Of course...if hotswapping came in to fruition.  ;)
