I got snow for the first time in years, but I don't think it counts, because I was in Prague at the time. If you are ever there and it snows take the funicular up to Petrin (lots of missing accents), its like Narnia up there! :D

I used to be a big person on there. I had a crew, a flag, money, black clothes, a sloop, a war brig and a War Frigate and I was ultimate at Swordfighting and Batlle Navigation. It changed and got boring, they ruined it with new features, like all the stupid brigand kings, treasure haul, huge amounts of effort spent on blockades, rather than Pillaging like in the past. Pillaging was the most fun part.

Anyway, when my account was deleted, I had something like 80,000 POE in loose money, and a load more invested in things like ships, and in PP terms, that was quite poor for someone who had got that far.

Also, I kick ass at Swordfighting, at one point, in a Familiar tournament in swordfighting, there was 700 entries and I got to the semi-finals (final 4) and got knocked out by the winner.

General Chat / Re: Help! I need old METAR archives for a project
« on: September 15, 2008, 06:29:06 pm »
Rainfall data isn't enough, I need an entire summary of all atomspheric conditions, METARs provided the best base for it. I found wunderground.com which is great, as it goes back to 1996. Which can give a general trend over 12 years, plus I have details of all NE Atlantic storms going back to the 1950s, which I can compare with todays storms to see any difference.

General Chat / Help! I need old METAR archives for a project
« on: September 14, 2008, 10:01:51 pm »
Hey, I am doing my A levels at the mo and one of my options is "Extended Project" which is writing a dissertation on a subject of your choice. I am doing on how the growth in the movement of people around the world has effected the weather in any obvious way. The most obvious data source I can think of is METARs, and I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere I can get archived metar info from. Preferably from the atlantic facing part of europe. Thanks!
