those Diesel trainslook really inefficient... Why make them so heavy?

This is the only train service in the state. They have the commuter rail and subway. The trains are always in full capacity. It has got to be a administrative decision but there is a lot of snow here. So a lot of passengers and snow means extra power. The newer cars aren't as loud. Diesel is just more reliable for them. I was able to get into the ticketing system an produce tickets of my own to ride the train.
