I just noticed someone is changing airport names to things like "Boston - General Edward Lawrence Logan International" or "Glen Burnie - Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshal Airport." I don't know who is doing this - it would have to be someone on the staff, I'm sure - but these names, correct or not, are really obnoxious - please change them back!

I have started work on preparing the game for separated city and airport names which will alleviate some of the airport name problems, and will offer a new level in searching for airports.

OK, I understand. Sorry about that. But I am still wondering why it couldn't just be "Boston - Logan International." Also, if airport name and city are split into two database columns, how will this change the appearance of 'View Gates' and 'View Routes'?

FAA State KBOS's name is "General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport" its a mouthful alright though.

I knew someone is gonna complain about it

I was updating the data for USA airports (still doing so, just finished the Locid "Bxx") and in the process also updated the airport names for quite a number of them. And since we have to be "consistent", we can't have some airports in their official names, and some in shortened shorthands. ;)

Technically, we don't have to be consistent...  ;)
