Title: Turbo world
Post by: 1993matias on March 21, 2011, 07:30:03 pm
Hello!
Is anyone interested in a world where your airline will explode out of nothing? I'm thinking a fairly short world where no replacement is necessary. You just have to expand. And expand. And expand until there's no more room in the world. Until you've reached world domination - or beaten on the way.
I'm thinking no rules. Tough competition and no mercy.
What do you say?
This is how the world would be:
Start year: 2003 Game lenght: 5 years Starting gate quantity: 1 gate Start aircraft: ERJ-170LR Starting aircraft quantity: 5 aircraft Maximum bases: 12 Maximum foreign bases: 5 Starting cash: £ 1.000.000 Game password: Ask in a PM or reply to this post. Aircraft types: Commercial & Business Jet Aircraft Maximum players: 10 Route maps: Improved World name: PW #1887 - No mercy
The world is now open; the world begins Friday.
Current players:
1993matias - - - -Atlanta (Atlanta Lightning) Virgin Serbia - - - Beijing (Sinoviet Airlines) Mastafa Flybynight747 - - Tokyo HND (JAYAIR) Hal - - - - - - - - Detroit (Detroit Airlines) GPWestjet - - - - Sydney (Badiuk Airlines) Bindu - - - - - - -London LHR (AIAGE) Gopats1479 - - - New York JFK (Blue Line)

Yeah, but I'm thinking a 5-year world where it isn't needed to replace aircraft. That way you can expand as much as you want without thinking of the consequences.

When enough interested people say they're interested. In other words, as soon as possible.

Perfect start A/C. Versatile, low MX, good range and wont need replacing from initial start routes.
Naturally, Airlines will upgrade to larger spec aircraft as the game develops.
Good choice.
Thanks for letting me join.
Bring it ON

Please note the world begins Thursday noon GMT. There will be 24 hours (until Friday) before the world clock starts, so you do have a chance to make it as one of the first.

Note to players:
Please respect airports that have been reserved. Avoid competition if possible, there is really no reason to start out with all 10 airlines based in Atlanta, LHR or HND. Just spread out, at least in the first year or two.

I.e. don't have the same starting base as other airlines, but the purpose of this world is to have as much competition as possible ;)

As far as I can tell, LHR hasn't been taken yet, so I'll do A IAGE based in LHR. If LHR is taken then second in FRA

It's not a rule. Just a suggestion that for the pleasure of playing, we don't start our airline at the same airport as a competitor. Competition will inevitably come, but with only 10 players, it would be idiotic to have multiple players based at one airport to begin with.

There's only three years left. Charlotte Douglas is currently dominated by a mega-airline.
