I have been thinking of which is better, as, it is 2000 in world 1757 and we really want to fly a plane from our eastern hubs to far-away Asian airports like Singapore and Jakarta, but with the A345 coming soon with the only range to reach these airports and the 777-200LR coming 3 yrs later, but with more seats, so this is a tricky question  ???
Sincerely, Mastafa

Get the A345 now, and they will be ripe for replacement when the 772L comes out.

Hopefully you're buying these for prestige only because this thing is outrageous. The price, the fuel consumption, maintenance, everything :P I made like 100k/150k a day (hour) with this thing which means it'll take at least 8 years to make that 340 million back if I didn't have to pay maintenance costs, which I had to so that basically means you'll never ever make a profit out of this. But on the other hand, those long curvy routes look kinda sweet on your route map

So yes, ultra long haul, basically, is a prestige thing. Period.

what a waste of money if you need make flight to max 9500 nm you can buy A320 Prestige (only in world with bussines planes), only disadvantage is only 50 pax but with price about 30 mio its better buy than B777 or A34x or A35x.

You sorta already discount it in your post. "only 50 pax"

Besides, the 77L or 345 will make more moeny if used correct ;)

But one B777 = about 7 A320 Prestiges and i think they will make much more money than one B777.

So you want to fly 7 A320 Prestige instead? I doubt they will make more money. If you fly to LHR from both ATL and LAX, you will need 2 gates with the A32P, and 1 with the 77L. Not to mention additional costs of operating 7 flights, maintenance costs of 7 planes etc. Not to mention being unable to show off ;)

I think one B777 can make about 300k one day, one A320 prestige at least about 200k. 7 x 200k = 1,4m that is much more than one B777. And in public world is making routes like LHR - ATL wasting of money, the comeptition at this routes will be very high and some airline will fly with 1 freq and low fare. Flying to some smaller and far airports will be much profitable.

1. I can easily make northwards of 500.000 with a large plane. I just need the right bases. Hell, i managed to do that with a DC-10 between DXB and LHR once.

2. You can't make 200.000 on each of the A320s if you fly 7 of them on the same route. Demand will drop sharply once you have more than 1 flight pr. day.

I am talking about flying to different airports from big airpot like ATL, LHR or ORD.  Big planes is only loss at mx costs. No put 7 A320s at one route.

Then there is no point in comparing the A320 with the 77L ;)

A320s don't bring enough passengers for such destinations like Sydney, we prefer A340s and 777s

Yet you complain about maint? And your buying these? Maint is broke for heavys. Even if used at the "correct" places, it will still not profit.
